Avondale Intermediate Tea Towel
These tea towels showcase some of the best entries to Avondale Intermediate’s 2024 Art Exhibition, under the theme of Aotearoa’s Native Birds. Nirvana (Tūhoe, Ngāti Maniapoto, Tainui, Ngāpuhi) was inspired by our native emblem the Kiwi, while Vienna (Samoa, Tonga) drew inspiration from the cheeky Pīwakawaka (fantail) for her design.
Each purchase supports Avondale Intermediate to continue providing our students with enriching art and cultural experiences of all kinds.
The Avondale community is proud to be filled with artists, musicians and creatives of all types, and our intermediate school is no exception, with students in 2024 making the semi-finals for the Onscreen short film competition, receiving the Rockstar Award and Best Vocals at Bandquest, and coming in 2nd place at Showquest with mentions for Best Live Music, Best Drama and Highly Commended theme.
